Dear Supporters,
The Google Twin Ports Fiber Initiative is holding two big events this Saturday, and need hundreds of volunteers.
1.We're looking for hundreds of volunteers to drop by the old Carnegie library at 101 W. 2nd St. Suite 200 in Duluth, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. this Saturday March 13, to pick up pledge cards. You then have the rest of the weekend to distribute those pledge cards in your neighborhoods in Duluth and Superior.
We give you an area of the city (near your home) to drop postcards off. You won't have to speak with the homeowner. Just leave a card in the door. The pledge cards are then filled out by the homeowners who indicate whether they would purchase Google ultra-high speed fiber for about what they're paying today for the Internet. Then the homeowners drop those cards in the mail Monday.
2.An open casting call for the Google Twin Ports Movie will be held from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 13, also at 101 West Second Street, Suite 200. Participants don’t need an appointment for the casting call. Part of the movie will be shot during the Google Fest rally between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. on March 20, at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center’s Lake Superior Ballroom.
Thanks, Patrick Garmoe (218) 461-9655
