NTC Event - Developing with Silverlight presented by Microsoft - Tuesday August, 10th 2010

The NTC is proud to host a presentation from Jeff Brand, a .NET Developer on the Microsoft Developer and Platform Team in Minneapolis, MN.

In this session, we will explore the world of Silverlight development.  Covering the key parts of the Silverlight environment, tooling, and associated frameworks, this will be a fast paced tour of Microsoft Silverlight.  Demonstrations of XAML, data-binding, styling, and prototyping will all be covered in this fast-paced hour.

When: Thursday August, 10th 2010

Jeff has been with Microsoft for over 14 years, starting with the company soon after the release of Windows 95. While at Microsoft, he has been a consultant, an ecommerce specialist, and an enterprise technology advisor. Today, Jeff is a .NET Developer Evangelist for Microsoft's North Central District. He lives in Minneapolis and often travel to the surrounding states of Nebraska, Iowa, and the Dakotas. In his current role, he is responsible for working with developers and customers that are evaluating or using .NET and assisting in them in understanding and using Microsoft's developer platform.

Golf Scramble Cost:   $60.00 per golfer [Entry fee includes 9 holes of golf on the Lake 9, a golf cart, BBQ,And 2 complimentary beverages.]
 
BBQ Cost:         $10.00 for non-golfers [Includes 2 complimentary beverages and one raffle ticket.]

*Mulligans will be available for purchase at a cost of $6.00 each or 4 for $20.00.

**This event is open to everyone.  If you don’t golf, please join us for the BBQ.  This is a great place to network with NTC members.

On-Site Visit of St. Lukes on Wednesday 04/14

The Northland Technology Consortium (NTC), is proud to offer an On-Site Visit of St. Lukes for CS/CIS/MIS/IT students from 3:30-4:30 on Wednesday, April 14th. Students from CSS, LSC, UMD, UWS and WITC interested in computing careers are encouraged to attend.
